Riverside Casino and Golf Resort May Change A Small Town in Riverside
Riverside Casino and Golf Resort is scheduled to open on August 31. Riverside doesn't have new subdivisions, but there is a casino, and this casino may change the small town of Riverside.
Riverside resident Adam Rosenstein has chosen to move to Riverside because "houses were cheaper here" he said. "It's a small community."
Rosenstein is anxious to see what will happen in their small town when the casino opens at the end of the month. "We're basically waiting to see what happens. It's definitely going to be changing with all the development... It's growing and changing more than the other towns around here."
Another resident of this small town, Sam Torrey said, "It's just a nice quiet town. Hopefully, there will be a lot of housing going up. The casino area will be a growth area."
Riverside has Earthpark for a contender. Earthpark is a proposed educational and environmental facility that will include a 3.5-acre indoor rain forest with three ecosystems.
Norma Swailes, Riverside resident said, "That doesn't interest me all. I've seen enough trees in my life." Swailes has moved to Riverside after getting married and is hoping for more improvements too.
Residents of Riverside are hoping that the casino will bring changes around and improve their small town into big time.
